Hi, My father was diagnosed with severe dementia just over a year ago. While it hasn't really gotten any worse in that time, the dad that I knew is gone. The problem is that lately, he seems very bored, pacing wherever he is standing and interacting less with friends and family. He has also started doing repetitive motions: scratching his arms, tapping one foot, and so on. How can I help him regain some interest in activities, or at least keep him somewhat occupied? He is unable to follow a movie or TV program, so that's not an option.
